The best psychologist for me is Sigmund Freud, he was an psychiatrist and neurologist who founded the psychoanalytic theory in psychology, and developed almost all the concepts and theories use today in the psychology.
Freud is consider like the father of psychology, and is the most quote person in the area and even in other areas.
I little history about his life, Freud was born in Austria in 1856, he studied medicine in the university of vienna, and later in 1885 Freud went to Paris when he studied the Hysteria with Charcot and its susceptibility to hypnosis, but years later Freud developed his own theory about the disorder with Breuer, with whom wrote “studies of hysteria”, and his most famous patient Ana O. became famous, when she said that Freud was discovered the appropriate treatment of hysteria and she called it “the talking cure”.
Well, the studies of hysteria the Freud aren’t the most important contributions in psychology, Freud also developed a lot of theories about sexuality and for that he became famous, he studied the child sexuality in the Edipo complex, and later he made a theory, maybe his most famous theory, called the Psychosexual development.
Also Freud developed the id, super ego and ego theory, called at present psyche theory, and with this Freud talked about Unconscious, conscious and pre conscious.
